We hope that you all know very well about CBSE’s procedure of conducting the Compartment Exams for Class 10th and 12th. So, all the students who because of some reasons are unable to secure passing marks in their final board examinations conducted in the month of March, here with the help of the process of conducting Compartment Examinations, these students get three chances to secure passing marks in the subjects in which they got compartment.
Important thing to know about compartment exam is that you are allowed to appear for the compartment examination of only two subjects, means that if you are not getting passing marks in one subject then you can appear for CBSE Compartment Exam, but if the number is more than 1, then the student is declared failed and he/she will have to repeat the class, or will have to appear via National Institute of Open Schooling.

Many a times students are confused if they could re-appear for the compartment exam if they do not secure passing marks in the first compartment exam. Remember that when you appear for the first compartment exam, which is conducted in the month of july/august, after your final board results are announced, and if in case you are unable to manage passing marks in that exam, you can re-appear for the compartment exam which is conducted in the month of March, and if in case you again are unable to secure passing marks in that exam too, again you get a chance of appearing for the Compartment Exam which is again conducted in the month of July/august.
But remember within these three chances you will have to clear your exam, otherwise after that you are not given any chance of appearing for the compartment exam and have to appear through National Institute of Open Schooling.

How To Apply For CBSE Compartment Exam 2020:
Here, we are providing you with some steps of how you can apply for Compartment Exam which is going to be held in the month of March 2020. Follow these steps and enrol yourself for CBSE Compartment Exam 2020:
- Go to the Official website of CBSE, that is, cbse.nic.in, or you can directly click on the link we are providing you to fill the form.
- After clicking on the link, you will be directed to a new page, click on the link “Compartment Application Form 2020”.
- After the form will be opened in your screen, fill all the asked information correctly, do not make even a single mistake.
- Upload your latest passport sized photograph and scanned signature.
- After filling the form and upload photograph correctly, go to make payment section and submit the fee that is asked.
- After payment is made, you will get a digital receipt, keep the receipt no. and print out of that receipt with you.
- Download the confirmation page and take the print out of it.
- Collect all the documents like photocopy of confirmation page, photocopy of mark sheet, E-challan, or original DD (Demand Draft, If you paid fee through demand draft) and send them to the regional office of CBSE.

If you have compartment in any of your subject, then you will have to give compartment exam, so you will have to wait for next compartment exam which will be held in 2020 and forms to apply will be out somewhere between october to december 2019. Dont worry, you will be notified. Just stay in touch.
